The Faculty of Juridical, Administrative and Communication Studies Pitești started functioning in 2000 due to the authorization by the National Academic Assessment and Accreditation of the double specialization "Journalism and Public Relations". In 2002, after the specializations catalogue was narrowed, the Ministry of Education and Research approved two distinct specializations: "Communication and Public Relations" and "Journalism". Since 2003, the Bachelor programme for Higher Studies of "Public Administration" has been authorized to function, to which were added the "Law" and the "International Relations and European Studies" programmes in 2005.
