Department Of Part Time Education

     The Department of Part Time Education, established in 2004, has the following objectives:
- teaching staff training in the field of planning, editing and providing the part-time courses modules and helpful specific services for the students;
- the development of part-time courses and assurance of quality training materials;
- delivery of training study programs through the Internet-based educational technologies;
- supporting the faculties in the authorization of part-time specializations;
- development of part-time infrastructure within the university and faculties which have part-time study programs;

The basic characteristics of the the part-time educational process are:
- the teaching process is done both through individual study, through teaching resources included in the tuition fees, and through face-to face meetings organized at Constantin Brâncoveanu University of Piteºti covering all activities of seminars, labs, projects etc.;
- Constantin Brâncoveanu University of Piteºti, through its part-time study programmes, provides students with educational resources available in various forms - print, audio-video, electronic documents and data (multimedia);
- communication between students and between students and tenured teachers is made either through direct conversation, but especially by means of distance communication - telephone, e-mail, web/Internet technologies;
- examination and certification of knowledge acquired by the student is done by oral and written exams, but also by evaluating the preparation during the semester through tests, projects or other types of activities specific to each subject.
- supervision of the educational process is done by tutoring activity;
- for each study programme, the curriculum provided by the part-time educational programmes is corresponding to the higher education full time curriculum, in compliance with A.R.A.C.I.S. standards;
- for the part-time educational programmes, the final evaluation, as well as the number of credits for subjects, through the transfer credits system, are the same as in the case of full-time education;
- diplomas and certificates of study are issued by Constantin Brâncoveanu University in accordance with the specific rules.

* The curricula for specializations at the part-time education form consist in the same subjects as the full-time education curricula.
* The period of studies is the same with the three years full-time education form;
* Examination sessions are the same with those of full-time education form. The students may be present at all examinations scheduled in any session or they can choose the number of subjects for which to be present in each examination session.
* The credits transfer system is also applied in the part-time education form, under the same conditions as those for full-time education.
